Background
Edelman is a global PR company servicing top corporations across a variety of industry in tech, hospitality, retail, and government. As a retainer client with agency Genuine, Edelman’s marketing team approached the agency to redesign the site homepage, work page, site navigation, and make updates to meet accessibility compliance.
GOAL
Edelman’s marketing team was looking for a flexible design template for the homepage and work landing page — one that had a modern editorial look and feel. They came to us with the business goal of attracting more business to the firm by showcasing their work, clients, case studies, positioning themselves as a thought leader in addition to attracting fresh talent.
MY ROLE + TASKS
Performed an accessibility audit
Established architecture for the new site
Created a new site map, main navigation, site footer, and a utility that that would account for language switcher
Collaborated with a visual designer to revamp site styles, create consistent visual language and text hierarchy
Partnered with Genuine’s developers to understand tech limitations and put in clear guardrails for the client to manage site updates on their own via WordPress
Solutions
After exploring several design options, we provided 3 homepage templates for the client to use, new design components, and a more streamlined site architecture and navigation.
