Hello there, I’m Kim

My approach to design is all about immersion— whether it’s a business or industry, stakeholders, or with users, their work, and what they are striving to accomplish. I work well independently, yet I’m at my best collaborating with cross funcitonal teams, bringing people together early and often, to share ideas and tap into unique skillsets. My time spent at Apple Retail coaching and training teams from 45 to 245 fuels my passion for mentoring new designers, and helping them find their voice.

My Hybrid toolkit is my pocket aces. It allows me to be involved in the full buffet— from strategy and definition To Research and discovery To concepts AND design — GUIDING THE PROCESS end to end.

Constantly curious and a knack for complex problem solving, I often work in spaces where experience design is most needed to transform a business, disrupt an industry, and surprise and delight customers. My expertise has touched a range of projects where I’m learning and leveraging ideas from one to the next — from health and life sciences and technology to retail, automotive, financial services, and technology.

I hold an MFA in Experience Design from MassArt’s Dynamic Media Institute. I’m an adjunct professor at Northeastern University in the College of Arts, Media and Design, and active within the Boston creative community. When not designing, you can find me adventuring off the beaten path and riding motorcycles with friends.
